Learning the hard way

So I recently have come to love being barefoot. I learned about how the foot is a Marvell and very capable of doing its job all on its own. Many people it seems have come to the same conclusion lattely. Whether it was because of new footwear like the vibram 5 fingers or the like, possibly because of reading Christopher McDugalls born to run. There just seems to be more people rocking the birthday feet.
I myself hate socks, so much that I would use the word hate. I can’t stand overheated feat. It could be November and I’m walking through the snow and my feet still feel hot. My point being, my feet like air. Which means I love bare feet.
About 3 months ago I finished born to run, amazed at the power the foot contains. Allso with a sense I’ve been cheating myself out of strong feet most of my life.
I have memory’s of running around happy as a pup when I was a kid, none of them involved 100 dollar running shoes. None of them envolved proper “gate” or technique.
A couple of months I received my first heraches (her-a-chay, I’m sure I spelled it wrong) kit from invisibleshoes.com. They were promised to be “like barefoot”, and well they are. If I were anymore barefoot, I would be barefoot. They are a great, safe alternative to being barefoot. And when you live in a city like mine barefoot means exposing yourself to thorns, glass, urine, needles, just generally bad stuff. Having a way to allow my feet to heal from years of partial atrophy, while not stepping in poop or worse has been great. Not to mention they pass my employers dress code(with a little bending of the rules from my boss).
So to wrap this up, ill be updating my blog with my adventure’s this summer. Facebook is turning into MySpace and Twitter is what Twitter does. So please, fallow along, this summer is a rebuilding year. Not just with my feet, but with my life. And I’ll be starting at the ground up (extreme pun intended).
